We have a house!

So yesterday we closed on our house! The closing was a little stressful. When we got there, our lender messed up the numbers, so we had to call them, get them to fix ALL of the paperwork and send us all new papers while waiting patiently at the lawyer's office.
We got the papers, and they messed it up--AGAIN! 2 1/2 hours later, we finally got the right paperwork and the keys.
We don't actually move in for about 3 weeks, so they are renting from us.
We are officially landlords now, have a week off, then landlords for our condo when our renters move in.
Packing, shopping and decorating is in my near future!!! We're really excited!

Update on blood poisoning

So for the past 2 days I have been doing what I can to keep my mind occupied, because as soon as I think about it, I get sad and scared.
The redness grew a little Saturday and it was scaring me. I started to get that burning feeling on the redness and have been mentally ready to go into the hospital. I told Temp that I will know instinctively when and if I should go.
This morning I woke up with a massive headache due to the weather. But I think some of the redness is starting to fade. The center of the infection hasn't changed, but I think the line faded a little.
Fingers crossed this thing is on it's way out...

Blood poisoning....again

The lesson, if you think you should go to a doctor, go...

About 14 years ago, I experienced something very scary in my life. I had this red blotchiness on my chest, kinda looking like a rash. It took me a while, but finally I told my mom and she took me to the doctor. The doctor was concerned, it turned out to be an infection in my blood stream. I got a shot in my booty, and was sent home. Within a couple of days, the redness worsened, I lost feeling in my arm, and the redness became burning hot.
I was rushed to the hospital, and for a couple of days, I had to have drugs pumped in my system about every three hours in my thighs and buttcheeks (not fun). Basically this blood infection which turned to a poison was taking over and obviously very close to my heart.

4 days ago, this redness reappeared. You want to believe it's a rash or a bug bite, but today I found out it wasn't. I had the blood poisoning again. I started to freak out a day ago when it turned in into the line that traced my vein in my chest. It started with a red lump. I went to the emergency care today and they freaked out. They knew exactly what it was and had to get antibiotics in my system again (in the booty again--I'm in SO much pain right now!) . I will be on them for a while, and hopefully this time it will go away. I am a little freaked out, I pray that the antibiotics kill it this time.

These experiences really are eye-opening and makes me trust my instincts a little more.

Mental Health Day

So today I took a mental health day. I have found myself on edge with the kids and their immature behavior. They have standardized testing, lots of family issues (lots of murders lately of family members), so they are acting out. Immature behavior drives me nuts, along with it bothering all of my co-workers. So I decided before I overreact, I will take a day off for me. I have seen my fellow teachers exhausted, drained, and OVER the edge, and I don't want to get to that point.
Mental Health Day.
I wake up, and have super bad stomach ache....turns out to be bladder infection. SO, my sick day truly is a sick day.
Fortunately I get medicine in my system quickly. Curl up in bed with my Salvador and try to sleep away the pain.
Wake up, feeling alright, but not wanting the pain to ruin my day.
Make plans to go out to lunch with husband.
Determined to go for a run.
Got new running shoes (after trying to run for weeks in 5 year old walking sneakers!!)
Deciding if I want to run a half-marathon with my buddy Cattina.
Went for the run, feel energetic now, but still in pain. Took long shower.
Gonna make some art, go out to lunch with hubby, and hopefully get the most of my day with as little pain as possible!
