The Rainforest Site

All you have to do is click and money will be donated by sponsors of the site to help those causes. It would be awesome if every time you viewed my blog, you also helped an animal rescue or the rainforest.
Thanks!

Happy Anniversary To Us!

Today marks the 7th Anniversary of me and Sal being together. I always find this day special because for 21 years, I HATED cats, despised them, never wanted to be near them. Back in 2001, I was living in a house of 5 girls (one being Rachel), and they all moved out for the summer. I was in this house with no one. My co-worker comes into work and says she is moving, and she can't bring her cat. (Big deal right). Well, no one was interested. I started feeling bad. She said that he would probably be put-down if someone didn't take him. I started thinking about how lonely I was and decided to take him. His name at the time was Jean Baptiste Moeller. They called him "Moe". It didn't fit his personality to me, so I wanted to name him after an artist. Salvador Dali!
I had a rough couple of months of him being out of control-and me not knowing how to raise a cat. A broken TV, broken lamp, broken blinds, a night waking up with him caught in a tapestry of Salvador Dali on my wall!!!, and many, many scratches--we made it work. I love this guy so much. Anyone who knows me knows this already. I can't imagine life without the little guy. So I dedicate this post to him!

The picture is our first week together.

Perspective Lesson

So I decided to stray from the typical "draw a street scene in perspective lesson" that everyone does, and decided to ask the kids to come up with a word that relates to them in some way. Draw it in perspective, then illustrate it so the pictures interact with the word. I was pleased with the results.
