Ima Robot Music video

Templeton and were in a music video by the group "Ima Robot" in at the Universal Studios lot in California in 2003. We really didn't make it too much into the video, but when I was doing the 25 Random Things (most of you know what I am talking about!!) I found a behind the scenes video of the video. I found Temp and I!!

A picture, of a picture

My co-photography teacher needed to do an experiment, so I was the model. He had me scream, he took a picture. Printed the picture, poked holes in the photograph, then took a picture of the picture with a light shining underneath.
He didn't exactly get the effect he wanted, so then he photoshopped rays of light coming from the holes. It's fun to experiment!

Pastel Drawing +

As soon as I saw the photo I took of the lioness at the DC zoo, I wanted to draw it. I hadn't worked in pastels in awhile, but here it is for a fun little sketch.

Our first real art print!

Temp and I got our first original art print from his sister Amy for Christmas. We have talked a lot about the artist Charley Harper that we like, so that's what we asked for for Christmas. This one is called "Buzz of Turkey's".
I dropped it off to get framed and matted. I was nervous about getting a black mat, but white really would have drowned out the picture. It's signed and has the edition number, and hangs proudly above our bookshelves. We are on our way to being art collectors!!

Student Work: Cartooning

First of all, Temp is doing much better now! His eye looks disgusting (sorry, no offense Temp), but he went back to work and feels great.
On another note, I taught my kids cartooning. They will be putting these cartoons in animation cels next, but I thought some of you might want to see what the characters are looking like!! They had to investigate animals and their personalities. Then pick the one that fits them and develop a cartoon of them. Then give the animal their own characteristics whether it be clothes, hair, body or accessories. They really took off with this and I am happy with the results!!

Poor Templeton

So poor Temp was sick all night. Then he woke up this morning to get ready for work. Started shaving...got a little nauseas, turned around to do his thing in the toilet, as he is, well-you know, he banged his eye on lid of the toilet. As he said "literally adding insult to injury."

Temp seems to have a stomach virus, keep him in your thoughts.
